Spanish American War, "Reina Mercedes"

I saw another Span Am item here in this section and I remembered that I had this one... it's a letter opener, I think, and measures about 9".

 

The inscription on one side reads:

From The Spanish Cruiser Reina Mercedes Sunk Santiago Bay July 6, 1898

 

The other side: Justice John

 

From wikipedia:

 

During the Spanish American War, the ship Reina Mercedes served as a key defensive element of the Spanish defenses against the American blockade of Santiago Harbor in Cuba.
