MWalsh Posted June 22, 2013 #1 Posted June 22, 2013 I picked this set of items up at least a couple years ago, it came with some U.S. uniform items. I had first thought that perhaps some was North Korean and perhaps some Japanese, I know the flag is South Korean for sure. Anyone have any ideas on this stuff? The small pins I am pretty sure are Japanese and probably will not be super tough to ID, but the armband and the hanging ribbon thing got me... Thoughts anyone? Thanks in advance! MW
Marksman Posted June 22, 2013 #8 Posted June 22, 2013 Hello, for me it looks Japanese. (the Medals) Greetings Stefan
firefighter Posted June 24, 2013 #9 Posted June 24, 2013 I am not an expert on Japanese or Korean items. With that said it looks like a mix of both.Obviously the flag is South Korea, the medal with anchor & star looks Japanese and not sure about the other stuff.
easterneagle87 Posted June 24, 2013 #10 Posted June 24, 2013 I agree on the pins/medal. Anchor and Star are Japanese Naval Infantry. Could have been picked up in Korea as they held the country previous to and through WW2.
vintageproductions Posted June 24, 2013 #11 Posted June 24, 2013 The pins are Japanese. The set of two are police collar badges. The star is some type of school. The badge with the anchor is a Veteran's organization (Time expired soldiers league).
