Wow,some really amazing items! My addition-dress green jacket and rear pocket missing trousers IDd to corporal (Pfc on Guadalcanal), radiooperator of SCR-284 on Canal, he was attached to F/2/11 from May 1942 to August 1943 and from August 1943 to late June 1944 with HQ/3/5 , it's interesting that patch is on right sleeve, hope you like it.

Hello,

 

Here is an other dress blue uniform named to Matthew J. Cullinane Jr.

He was in the 1st Marine Raider Bn and transferred to "Co. I" 3/8 2nd Marine Division in July 1942. He participated to the Battle of Guadalcanal and he is WIA on Nov. 12th, 1942.

James J. Kelly, M Company, 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment 2nd Marine Division. Served as a 60MM mortar crewman, landed on Guadalcanal on November 4, 1942 and served in combat there until February 8, 1943.

This man's daughter still lives in the area. I have talked to her, but she didn't know much of anything about his service except that he would write home asking for money to help the starving children he kept encountering. He died in 1978.

Dress blue uniform of captain Gerald W Gage who was operations officer of 3/1 Marines since July 1942 untill July 1943. Participied at the battles of souther Tenaru sector on September 13th and the battle of Matanikau between October 21st and October 24th 1942.
