Adam R Posted June 22, 2013 #20 Posted June 22, 2013 I just received the Gray group in the mail today. Here's a snap shot of his bar mounted DFC/AM group. Both decorations are unnamed as issued. This is the group that he wore from the mid 1950s to the early 1960s.
Adam R Posted June 22, 2013 #21 Posted June 22, 2013 With the group are some photos, including this one of Gray wearing the DFC group in the early 60s.
Adam R Posted June 22, 2013 #22 Posted June 22, 2013 The temporary citation for the second award of the DFC with the gold star attached to the upper corner. It's one of the best citations I've seen for a DFC.
Adam R Posted June 22, 2013 #23 Posted June 22, 2013 Award of the third DFC. This action was the basis for the novel and film "The Bridges at Toko-Ri".
