Lee Ragan Posted June 17, 2013 Share #2 Posted June 17, 2013 Those look like the early 20th century USMC Corporal chevrons worn on the white duck uniform. Am I right? (They probably pre-date the 20th century, but I don't know by how much.) Up until a few years ago, S&S Firearms out of New York had these and matching Sergeant's chevrons for sale. They are left over old Bannermans stock, or so I've been told. The Marines were still using tape-applied-to-backing-cloth type chevrons long after the Army had adopted the "Johnson" pattern chevrons for fatigue/work/combat uniforms. ChuckyD Posted June 17, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted June 17, 2013 Lee-Thanks for the info. I am/was naive and bought them for what the individual said they are. I am a NOVICE collector and just started collecting. Thanks for your info. I will use it to do some research. SFChuck
