45ACP Posted August 2, 2013 Share #461 Posted August 2, 2013 Yes 1930s & 40s charater actor Henry Hull I thought he might give it away. 4th guy is carrying one of the Vickers machine gun converted to look like a M1919A4 machine gun. Then there are all the wooden Thompsons. I wouldn't have got it If I hadn't noticed the 2nd guy on the left as being the correspondent.

45ACP Posted August 3, 2013 Share #463 Posted August 3, 2013 On one of my earlier posted movies “Time Limit” someone said there were no action scenes. But that is not what I want to talk about. One of my selections was “Keep Your Powder Dry” imdb says it’s drama/war but there are no action scenes yet it was a morale buster made during WWII. Now for “Soldier in the Rain” (again my selection) it is about M/Sgt. Maxwell Slaughter(Jackie Gleason) & Sgt. Eustis Clay(Steve McQueen) it is about the military and a really good movie again only action is at the end in the bar fight. Both military movies, war movies, to the public. We are the old war movie junkies or purist if you prefer do we consider these as war or just military and they don't belong in this thread? That is the question. patches Posted August 3, 2013 Share #464 Posted August 3, 2013 Old Richard Conti was the give away ACP45, the movie isss Target Zero, WOW I haven't seen this one in like 40 years, no wonder I didn't recognize it I remember the Plumbers, the 60mm Mortar team that joins up with the group. Charles Bronson was in it.

I,m one of the members who posted a couple or more of non Action War Movies, they all seem to fit, as they are movies or T.V. series that were all lumped together, and remember, so yes, I think they fit, as long as there a military element too it, whether current day themes or ancient, some are fun like comedies, as in the one's I posted, like No Time For Sergeants, and the Roman Troops in the Musical A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum. Kinda like, and stop me if you heard this before, A Funny Thing Happened On the Way To Logging In On The U.S. Militaria Forum

45ACP Posted August 3, 2013 Share #468 Posted August 3, 2013 Yes I thought the Richard Conti pic would give it away that is why I didn't use it at first and I'm supprised the Peggy Castle pic didn't give it away. I haven't seen it since the 70s not a great movie but I liked it. Yes the "plumbers" and Charles Bronson his pic would have given it away. Old Richard Conti was the give away ACP45, the movie isss Target Zero, WOW I haven't seen this one in like 40 years, no wonder I didn't recognize it I remember the Plumbers, the 60mm Mortar team that joins up with the group.
