Alec Posted June 13, 2013 Share #1 Posted June 13, 2013 Stumbled on this today in my bulk purchase a few weeks ago. I have had dozens of WWI and WWII packs both Army and Marine Corps, but have yet to find such an early pack. Are these common to find? In pretty good shape except the mismatched meatcan pouch at one point in time had a rusting meatcan which bled through and stained the pack. Anybody have any idea what the unit designation is?Looks like 2 AAP over crossed cannons and G battery or company I would assume.
US Victory Museum Posted June 13, 2013 Share #2 Posted June 13, 2013 2nd Army Artillery Park Only the 1st Army Artillery Park reached Europe with the AEF. The second formed somewhere on the Left Coast (Ft. McArthur CA, I think) very late in the war. Msn
