gap Posted June 12, 2013 Share #1 Posted June 12, 2013 What was the practice with respect to Technician grades during WW2, were they commonly addressed as corporal, sergeant, staff sergeant, or as tech corporal, tech sergeant, etc?
Justin B. Posted June 12, 2013 Share #2 Posted June 12, 2013 In practice, just "corporal" and "sergeant." If asked their grade, the soldier might say "tech five," but as a form of address I think the army approved using the NCO equivalent. "Tech sergeant" was short for technical sergeant, which was a regular NCO grade, not a technician grade. Justin B.
