Alback Posted May 31, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 31, 2013 Memorial day, Henri Chapelle military cemetery Past Saturday I went to the Henri Chapelle military cemetery at Liege (Belgium). In January 2012 I adoped the war grave of emmett P clark. member of the 112th inf regt. 28th ID. He was killed in action on january 7th 1945. After doing a lot of research I found his relatives. They live In Pennsylvania and maryland. It was a very beautiful ceremony. Just like last year the ambassador of the United Stats of America gave a wonderful speech! Normally there was planed a flyover by the belgian air force. but unfortunately this was canceled by the bad weather.

TLeo Posted May 31, 2013 Share #6 Posted May 31, 2013 Thanks for posting the photos. It's great that locals adopt the graves and tend to them even after all these years.
