PATCH HELP! WW1? Pre WW2?

Bought this patch years ago and just dug it out and thought to myself "The hell have I seen this", well here it is. Anyone know what it is? Wool felt material. I believe it is well before WW2.

Could be just decrative for the civilian market, What is the size scale? The stiching and construction appear to be forgen.

I would venture it 's probably between ww1 and ww2, but it could be one of the WW1 "aero squadrons" , and yes I know that is most likely was not the BSA emblem, it just reminded me of it in the shape ...............................

I was thinking the something.GS not BS insignia.I googled GS Shooting Star but couldn't find anything.
