lewis505 Posted May 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 25, 2013 ALL-AMERICAN WEEK 2013 is now history, and members of the 82d Airborne Division Museum's Living History Detachment (LHD) were on hand throughout the week at the Division Museum. Reenactors manned exhibits and displays both inside and outside the Museum https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.618878201458720.1073741830.441561409190401&type=1 One of the key events of the week was on Wed 22 MAY 2013, when members of the LHD conducted a sandtable briefing on Operation NEPTUNE using the original Operations Order issued by HQ 82d ABN DIV on 26 MAY 1944; participants were also briefed on and shown the packing list/equipment that a Trooper would of jumped into Normandy with on D-Day. The Museum's C-47 was also opened up for tours, and finally, members of the Fayetteville FireAntz Dance Team "The Heat" were on hand to help with participants being able to take photos in WWII-era equipment in front of the C-47 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.618837931462747.1073741829.441561409190401&type=3 Another great week of living history for the ALL AMERICANS of the 82d AIRBORNE DIVISION!
