I just grabbed these off ebay. Would you expect any patches from the Korean era to glow? The blue stripes seem a little luminescent.

Nothing wrong with those stripes. Nice pair of combatant stripes. They could have been removed from a uniform that was washed in detergent making them glow a little. I see nothing wrong with them though. These are nice to collect, both combatant (Yellow background, blue stripe) and non combatant (Blue background, yellow stripe) stripes are still fairly easy to find and affordable.

They are perfectly fine. This is why a black light should always be backed up by a second opinion. Those stripes were worn 1948-1952.

The only kind of thread that the blacklight test has any validity is white. Colored threads may have a luminescence due to the dyes.
