mvmhm Posted May 18, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 18, 2013 I'll be posting a grouping that was donated this morning by a man who served in the 7th Infantry Division between 1989 - 1993. He also decided to donate a flag that his brother sent him during the invasion of Iraq. he related that his brother unit provided covering fire for him and another soldier to flank a T-72 until the could climb on the back and drop grenades into the hatches. He took this flag from it, which i think was an antenna flag - it's about 3 X4 feet, made from a double-knit like material, and is double sided. There's the remains of a halyard, as well as some small twisted wire where it might have been attached to the antenna. Also shown is the card that was with the flag. mvmhm Posted May 19, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted May 19, 2013 I was pretty happy to get it...I brought back a mobility bag full of flags, bayonets and berets, but gave everything away to the people who didn't get to go to the show back in Germany...the flag I kept for myself isn't nearly as nice as this one..the card with it was a real bonus as well....
