It's a sign of the times. Her Majesty's Yacht Britannia was de-commisioned in 1997 and is now a tourist attraction. The reality is that such ocean-going vessels are an unnecessary luxury in these troubled economic times....unless you happen to be an oil-sheikh or a Russian oligarch!
