ouray19 Posted May 15, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 15, 2013 Here is another interesting item we found in Dad's collection. He would have brought this back from Europe after his tour during WWII. It has Netherland coins mounted on the side and top. It is made from a 105m shell casing and measures 4-1/2" in diameter and a little over 2" high. Stamped on the bottom is " 105 M 4 TYPE I LOT BBI-1 7 1944 " I believe this to be what is referred to as trench art. Not sure if I should try to clean it up or leave it like it is.
