What a shame these can’t be traced. It was my only hope to put a name on a Korean War WIA USMC lot.

Tough one - A lot of Marines were WIA in Korea. I would guess a lot of WIA's from NY State also.

Unfortunately, they don't have individual citations, so it was most likely awarded for the standard criteria.

A great - unusual- name indeed! I found a newspaper article in which it was written as “ Nazi”.. bet that caused some grief.
 

Thanks so much all, and for the pic. Might I  be right in assuming that chances are he was a BSM awardee at some point? Difficult to prove. Although I read somewhere even a CIB was enough to be given a CSC…
