M60 Driver Posted May 4, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 4, 2013 I found a reference to one of these but no images and thus, for posterity's sake, I post a picture of the instruction sheet intended to assist pilots downed in the oceans to take their minds off of sharks and other general perils and to instruct them how to use the cloth survival charts found in their pocket or in the pocket of their life raft. Dated 1944. For those interested I do have a full size readable photo of this item. This came in small lot of WWII pilot survival items recently sold to me in my store. benguttery Posted December 22, 2013 Share #2 Posted December 22, 2013 Is this printed on the same type of cloth like the maps? I would very much appreciate a legible copy for my info. Thanks.
dustin Posted December 22, 2013 Share #3 Posted December 22, 2013 They are printed on rayon the same as the maps. The original printing was on paper
