I have come across this shirt amongst my collection and wondered what it was ???? at first glance i thought it was an hbt shirt then looked again and its made from a "sateen" type material

 

any help ????

The buttons are the original M1941 japanned black "burst of glory" metal tack buttons. They were gradually replaced by the OD 6 plastic ones.

Hey imack is back, welcome back. iamck I,m suprised, you know that both metal tack in their various styles and OD plastic buttoms were used side by side on both the M43 and M47 HBT shirts to include early makes of the M52 OG 107 Cotton Sateen shirts.

Well, it's not post Korean War, as the Army adopted the Olive Green shade 107 fatigues in 1952, based on the 1947 pattern HBT's, but in sateen cotton instead of herringbone twill.

 

As for the value, it's worth whatever you paid for it.
