Patriot Posted May 3, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 3, 2013 OK, what the heck do I have here? I've pulled these out of storage, and I am not really sure who these were made for. I do know that they are for World War II units. I have a bunch of these - some are AAF, some are airborne, some are navy. They are decals on parchment. I want to offer these for sale, but I would like to know more about them, and what these are worth. Here are three for you to get an idea of what I have - I have many more. CHASEUSA11B Posted May 3, 2013 Share #5 Posted May 3, 2013 How big are these? With the reverse image is it possible they are kids temporary tattoos? I'm sure I'm way off but that's the first thing that came to mind when looking at these on my phone.
Patriot Posted May 3, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted May 3, 2013 I don't have a ruler handy, but by comparison these are a little bit larger than a baseball card.
Patriot Posted May 3, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted May 3, 2013 The tattoo idea sounds plausible, but these seem to be a little too sophisticated to be tattoos. They cover some pretty obscure units.

CHASEUSA11B Posted May 4, 2013 Share #9 Posted May 4, 2013 Good point, they do look sophisticated. I'm stumped!
Johnny Signor Posted May 14, 2013 Share #10 Posted May 14, 2013 I would lean towards iron on types for collectors during WW2 or post WW2, they're not full color but good examples of the actual units . The last one shown has directions about iron on if you look closely at it .
