29thinfgeek Posted April 28, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 28, 2013 Found a nice M41, it's in pretty good condition. There is a name in the collar, but it is too faded to make out, which is a shame. Insignia is in good condition, there's a little stain on the white part of the 69th SSI. Thought I would share it, I thought it was pretty neat since most 69th jackets you see are M43's. Sabrejet Posted April 28, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 28, 2013 Very nice! I have a soft spot for '41s! "We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. capa Posted April 28, 2013 Share #3 Posted April 28, 2013 Great jacket-I too have a soft spot for them. I only have one, unpatched, but the jacket is an icon of WWII. http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/usmfribbons/donation2020.gif
Captainofthe7th Posted April 28, 2013 Share #4 Posted April 28, 2013 Very nice example, like the rest of us this is one of my favorite jackets. I like the early chevrons, don't see those too much on wartime uniforms. Rob Exhausting & Dirty Work Interested in buying identified or re-searchable Korean War uniforms, groupings, medals and more. Terry K. Posted April 28, 2013 Share #5 Posted April 28, 2013 Very nice! I like the 41's also, just never kept them but one. You are his witness now, without a witness, they just disappear! Quote from the movie TAKING CHANCE 2009
29thinfgeek Posted May 19, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted May 19, 2013 Thanks for the compliments! They certainly are great looking jackets, this will not be my last one Frederik
Sabrejet Posted May 19, 2013 Share #7 Posted May 19, 2013 I have a penchant for '41s too. I've got a perfect replica which I wear as a leisure jacket...classic styling! 29thinfgeek Posted May 19, 2013 Author Share #8 Posted May 19, 2013 I still see a lot of jackets being worn nowadays that are similar to WW2 designs, in fact I found one of my dads jackets in the attic the other day, which looked exactly like a tanker jacket. And thank you
