This is the Blue Star flag that my mother flew in her window every day while I was in the Marines and in Vietnam. It's a little faded, particularly the red border but, since her front window faced east, it was never exposed to the brightest sun and is still in decent shape.....one on the gold wooden end caps has gotten lost over the years.

Nice piece of your own and your family's history to have Bill. I have my Blue Star that my parents had in the glass of their front door while I was deployed. It's in storage in a box with the stuff I brought back.

Actively seeking WW1 4th and 5th Brigade USMC helmets and also a named WW2 Raider green blouse.
I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail, if I could I surely would....
