"Thank God for Michigan"

"Thank God for Michigan"--reportedly said by Abraham Lincoln upon seeing Michigan soldiers march into the Capitol after he put out a call for troops. Michigan was asked to send four regiments, but radical republican Governor Austin Blair sent seven.

I figured I would start posting my collection in a thread to honor the sacrifices of soldiers from MI in military conflicts. Most of my collection revolves around WWII, but I do have items from MI soldiers who served in WW1, Korea, Vietnam, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Afghanistan.

I started collecting because I had many relatives who served in WWII.
