Hi,

During the last months I have become interested in contacting veterans from

the second world war to learn more about it and about the people who fought in it.

I have contacted a couple veterans but I have a hard time finding adresses so if you have

an adress please contact me. I´m not asking them for anything, I just want to learn more.

Best regards

kristoffer.

lol im sure you mean well but i dont think many people are going to just give out addresses on here, but good luck it is a good thing your wanting to do. Have you ever thought of asking some of the guys up at the VFW halls if they wouldnt mind talking to you? Worked for me and met some pretty interesting people.

Your location might make it easier or tougher. If you are here in the states, why not check your local paper next month for Memorial Day events and attend? You may still find vets marching, or likely gathering at American Legion and VFW posts afterward. Also AMVETS, Marine Corps League, Purple Heart Society! Join them if these event are open to the public.

With few execptions, every WWII vet I have know or met has been a church member. That would be a good place to make contacts. Also, I have met many who are volunteers at the hospital.

The thing is that I live in Sweden so its pretty hard for me to find adresses.

Sorry, looks like my advice was useless. I didn't realize you were not in the U.S. think.gif
