HEAVY GENERAL'S STARS - PERIOD? MAKER?

these are two stars, unusually heavy silver and 'differently'-shaped, solid-backed and marked 'h.l.h.c.' (?). they belonged to a wwii air corps general officer. they look custom-made or theater-made, any thoughts? quick reax especially appreciated.

I would still vote for US made, but I'm not familiar with the maker. They look like nice stars to me; if the price were right, I'd buy them.

thanks a million trr yes could be an 'E' - so theater-made in manila if so...
