I believe this is a USCG patch, but I am not sure. It's about 1 1/2" in diameter. Is this a uniform patch? Is it from WWII? Thanks!

It looks like a Sea Scouts or Boy Scouts badge. Danny

I agree.Either a Sea Scout or merit badge.

I don't agree. Every Sea Scout insignia or badge I have ever seen incorporates a single vertical anchor with a Fleur de Lee and eagle with the scout motto BE PREPARED. The patch in this posting is a cloth version of the WW2 era Coast Guard Auxiliary collar insignia most commonly seen in metal.

This is not Sea Scout related. Had a chance meeting with a well connected 'Officer' of the CAP and local Sea Scouts from the Portland OR area yesterday. After he saw a pic of the patch, he said no on Sea Scouts. He has be with the group from the late 40s until now. Hope this helps!

Wild Guess: cap emblem for OCS?

Coast Guard OCS uses the standard naval midshipman anchor and has for a long time.
