Steverino Posted April 14, 2013 Share #3 Posted April 14, 2013 Serge, Both are good Navy ship patches. No problems. Patch Johnson
gwb123 Posted April 14, 2013 Share #4 Posted April 14, 2013 The embroidery you see on these could range from the late 1950's to the early 1970's. They look US made, and they match up to Boy Scout patches made during the same time period. One nice thing about US made Boy Scout patches is often they are dated (1968 Camporee, for example). Contrary to military patches, this gives a time frame of when they were manufacture.
firefighter Posted April 14, 2013 Share #5 Posted April 14, 2013 Both are 100% good. The USS Bancroft was commissioned in 1968 and the USS F.Marion(APA-249) commissioned in 1961.So both nice 60's patches.
