deros Posted April 11, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 11, 2013 I am after a short pullover parka, the type with a hood, half zip and internal chest/ external low kangaroo pockets. They are about in olive and woodland, flecktarn and splinter etc but I really would like someone to make me one in WW2 hbt puppy paw camo. Does anyone know where or how I might get such an item made to my spec?. I did contact ATF but not unsurprisingly did not get a reply as it is proper custom work. Anyway, I can muse all I like but somewhere there is someone with the cloth and hardware and the expertise to do it. Any leads?
Sabrejet Posted April 11, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 11, 2013 Lots of various camo'd tops of the type you describe from this supplier. (though not in that specific pattern) http://www.epicmilitaria.com/section.php/179/1/field-military-jackets

redjoshman Posted April 11, 2013 Share #4 Posted April 11, 2013 I know the company "The Hill-Side" did a run of the fabric: http://www.hickorees.com/brand/the-hill-side/product/n13-062-reversible-camo-print-herringbone-twill-pocket-square And the have done Anoraks before: http://www.freshnessmag.com/2012/06/06/the-hill-side-co-x-owner-operator-pack-anorak-leaf-camo-video/ I would talk to them and see what they could do. Just a warning though, it will cost a very pretty penny to get done. Also since it is an Anorak you could also use an Shelter half or a poncho for material. Certainly more weather resistant and warmer than HBT. The former might actually b really good once treated with "Canvak". Several co. make USMC Camo Shelterhalves. Once you get the material you would just have to bring it to a competent seamtress with a good pattern and go from there. -Josh
