Trying to Identify a Sword

I was left this sword when my father passed away and have been unable to identify it on the internet sites, so I thought I'd the the experts.

 

The blade has several marking, not i can make out, but the blade year is 1917. The are stampings of "A' on all of the parts.post-115190-0-68871600-1365621423.jpg

Thanks, that was quick, just verified on the internet. My grandfather was a dentist during WWI and was sent through China and Russia, during the Bolshevik revolution, guess he picked it up there.

Did you know with what unit? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, the thinker ain't as good as it use to be, one of the units I'm thinking of was either the 31st. or 33rd. Inf. Div., AEF Sberia, 1919-1920. Jack.
