Thor996 Posted April 6, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 6, 2013 Letter to T Sgt Joseph B Wilbert from his family back home in Harrisburg PA on February 5, 1945- he was a member of the 334th Bombardment Squadron 95th bomb Group when his plane went down 11/29/1943 over Bremen Germany and was imprisoned at Stalag 17B Braunau Gneikendorf near Krems Austria [per his NARA records] he was in a B-17 named Blondie III- it was his 21st mission as a Top Turret/Engineer.
