Jim Baker Posted March 29, 2013 Share #2 Posted March 29, 2013 Carl, Here is the one I own. Mine is made of metal. I'm not sure if these were made in a plastic material during the WWII era or not. Possibly someone else could chime in.

jayhawkhenry Posted March 29, 2013 Share #5 Posted March 29, 2013 It's not a rare item, as mentioned they go for about $15. They were made from both plastic and pot metal. Great home front patriotic item.

Orgone Posted April 5, 2013 Share #9 Posted April 5, 2013 Pre Ebay, these pins in metal would sell for anywhere up to $50. It seems like lots of them must have been squirreled away as I now see them for $10. to $15. Ebay exposure lowered the price of many items over the years.
