Backtheattack Posted March 28, 2013 Share #1 Posted March 28, 2013 Musée du Mur de l'Atlantique Batterie Todt 62179 Audinghen/France http://www.batterietodt.com/ A very interesting museum near the Pas de Calais. It`s in a former german heavy artillery bunker which gave the name. On display uniforms, equipment, weapons from all countries who fight in the European Theater during World War II. They show off one of two german K-5 railway-guns (the second one is at Aberdeen), but in bad condition. If the weather is good you could have a look at Dover at the other side of the chanel. gwb123 Posted April 3, 2013 Share #4 Posted April 3, 2013 Thank you for posting. While many of our stateside members enjoy seeing the museums of Europe, we still need to see some US content to have this included on this Forum. Please post photos of any US gear that might be on display there.
zotig111 Posted April 17, 2013 Share #5 Posted April 17, 2013 Gil, In the light of the new "Spoils of War" forum, you could look at this as one of the bigger spoils of war. The US captured it and liberated this part of France...
Backtheattack Posted June 2, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted June 2, 2013 Gil, no problem. Thought you might be interested in a view at the museum and the great bunker where the guns are in. Here are some pictures from american staff there.
