RustyCanteen Posted March 27, 2013 Share #1 Posted March 27, 2013 "Zanol" brand Foot Powder, circa WWI-1920s.
RustyCanteen Posted November 11, 2013 Author Share #2 Posted November 11, 2013 Has anyone else seen a tin like this? It features a "Doughboy" on the front shaking hands with a sailor. I believe "Zanol" was a brand sold door-to-door. It's a neat patriotic themed item which could be considered private purchase. The tin is about the same as the issue WWI tins. craig_pickrall Posted November 12, 2013 Share #5 Posted November 12, 2013 Here is another type. It is Manhattan - Peerless that has had a Nathan label added since it is part of a Nathan Hygiene Kit from the WW1 period. I actually have two slightly different Nathan kits combined in one set of photos so I will add them all.

Mitter2k1 Posted November 12, 2013 Share #8 Posted November 12, 2013 Nice cans! Sorry I couldn't resist. Is there a thread that has the different WWI toiletries? Something that lists different items such as common private purchase items and issued items. It would be interesting to see the different items some of the members may have. Thanks for sharing, Mike M. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
