Jackson abolished the militia system in Mo. in 1861. & founded the "Missouri State Guard". My GGGrandfather was in 2 M.S.M Cav. Co. D.. also enlisting in Macon,Mo. Chances you need more info on 2 M.S.M Cav..Drop me a message i have a book in the works in refrence to 2 M.S.M Cav & Confedrate partisan rangers in N.E. & Central Mo. It is my passion.
