Col. John Hoefling, CO of the 2nd Brigade 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969, wearing the PTC of the South Vietnamese 1st Infantry Division, a unit with which his brigade worked jointly, on the flap of his jungle jacket pocket.

A WWII Tech 5 with the 7th Army shoulder patch but with the 84th Infantry Division PTC, no RD patch, so no doubt a vet of the division marking time in a 7th Army unit till he gets shipped out for home (Photo from Teamski).

The wearing of the Air Transport Command PTC clearly was most popular in the late-sh WWII period with men and women of this organization, found another.

I was asked to post this 442nd Infantry Battalion cap I picked up recently. The inside sweat is marked-will try to take additional photos-maybe ID the owner.

Thanks spinn, yes do take larger photos of the cap, the 442 PTC in particular, if you're having difficulties with posting large images please PM me.

A Trainee of the 6th Armored Division Ft Leonard Wood MO, summer 1952, he wears the PTC crest of the 6th Armored Division only on his cap and not on the shoulder loops.

The Indianhead PTC once more, this time on Dutch Troops in Korea. (Photos from member Erikscollectable in a post in The Combat Infantryman Badges topic). They are of course wearing them in a Non U.S. Army manner.

Going against my strict instructions when I started this topic on posting loose single examples of the PTC, I felt it necessary to violate that by posting this PTC I found floating online. This being the WWII AIr Corps PTC of the standard shoulder patch. Remembering that so far all we've seen in this regard is the AAC Roundel PTC, and I asked the question wondering if this one and the earlier Pin Wheel were made as crests, and we see at least one of them was, now we just got to wait to find one on a period uniform, either in a collection or in a portrait.

A soldier wearing the I Armored Corps SSI sometime in 1945 or after (Note he is wearing the ribbon for the World War II Victory Medal). I can't tell if his patch crests are for unnumbered for the Armored Forces or for the I Armored Corps.
