siege1863 Posted March 14, 2013 Share #1 Posted March 14, 2013 Just purchased a lot of Japanese occupation notes, which appear to have come from a veteran's estate. Seller clearly did not know what he had. No mention of the signatures on the notes, only general condition. Out of the lot, six are signed by General Tomoyuki Yamashita in English and Kanji. The signatures were collected while he was held in the Philippines for war crimes. Yamashita was found guilty and hanged 23 February 1946.
