1902 Engineer full dress uniform grouping

I picked this grouping up at SOS. It belonged to 1902 West Point grad. (4th in class) Robert Ross Ralston. It consist of his dress frock which is dated 1909 and has the 1907 modification of two rows of 9 buttons in front for company grade officers (before 1907 it wad two rows of seven buttons for company grade officers), 1902 pattern dress belt with sword hanger, the belt tin and two pairs of pants. Unfortunately the Engineers full dress cap is missing and still eludes my collection.

That's really nice. The belt with knot is great too. Well, at least he wasn't a major and you'd have to find an 02 Engineer lid with scrambled eggs on it. There's got to be a company grade 02 out there somewhere!

I am envious! Wonderful find. Sure wish I had the time to go to the SOS. He served in the Philippines in 1905, Cuba in 1907 and 1908. Served mostly in the Eastern U.S.. His West Point Bio would have a lot more.
