An American collector buddy of mine forwarded me the link below. It's an incredible photographic archive of US military aviation. Many of the images once graced the pages of "LIFE" magazine. The quality is remarkable, particularly the Kodachrome transparencies which still look so fresh and vibrant! Here's a sample. Take your time, browse through them at your leisure...and enjoy!

one of those photos has worldwar2database.com. many page of good photos with descripions attached. also there's a video webite called real military flix. all video. its now called real militaty. select your war at the top and see many vids that have never been published. go to:

Hi Sabrejet,

 

here's a nice bit of colour footage showing B-25s being prepared for a mission and the 75mm gun being fired.....

Awesome footage! Thanks for that John. I can't imagine what it must have been like inside those B-25s with the 75mm and all those 50s simultaneously blasting away...plus the vibrations from the motors!! :o
