PvtTamura Posted February 17, 2013 Share #1 Posted February 17, 2013 Hey all, This was given me by a vet's elderly mother. He was stationed in Korea in the early 80's. She said he got it from the "DMV zone in Korea". So uh, what is it? It somehow was kept by him, where his uniforms were trashed after he passed in the early 90's. I'm really curious how "run of the mill" it is, since it was kept. I'll post some other pictures from the group when I get a chance to dig it out. Thanks all! Label (I hope it's right side up!) Sabrejet Posted February 17, 2013 Share #3 Posted February 17, 2013 I'd have the dust analyzed to see on which side of the 38th Parallel it originated.
Third Herd Posted February 17, 2013 Share #4 Posted February 17, 2013 School boys wore blue uniforms and a blue visor cap in 1970-71. I never really paid much attention to them, but that might be something to look into.
PvtTamura Posted February 17, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted February 17, 2013 I'd have the dust analyzed to see on which side of the 38th Parallel it originated. I think that might be gen-u-ine southern California dust. I'm gonna take another peak into the photo albums and see if maybe a hat like these appears in any photos. Thanks all for the opinions and suggestions, I'll see what I can find.
