tsellati Posted February 16, 2013 Share #1 Posted February 16, 2013 ...and you must admit they do look sweet together! Here is my all-matching, original 1945 Remington-Rand M1911A1 pistol with my recently acquired USMC Boyt 45 M7 shoulder holster - Nice and solid fasteners and shoulder straps - And a nicely struck US and USMC Boyt 45 stamp - Special thanks to "carbinekid" for setting me up with this gorgeous holster. Flightpath Posted February 18, 2013 Share #5 Posted February 18, 2013 Very nice set, .45 looks great with it......... your Remington-Rand reminds me of one I saw here in Norway........... I was in a norwegian country town a few years ago there was a newly set up WW2 resistance display in the corner of the local museum. Lying on the floor next to an open parachute container was a Sten gun, a Bren gun and an unused Remington-Rand .45 with the mag sitting in it's cardboard box, these were set up with a small cable through the trigger guards so the public could handle them! I couldn't do much to 'save' the .45 from it's ultimate fate of being banged about or even stolen, so I told the woman behind the gift shop counter that the mag would be stolen within the first week........... I was very sorry that it was all I could do! cheers, -John

tsellati Posted February 21, 2013 Author Share #10 Posted February 21, 2013 Thanks for all the kind words. This pistol is just as much fun to shoot as it is to look at, maybe even a little more so . Tim
