The only shame is that it cant be sold in the USA. I live in Canada and I can and have bought MOH'S but as soon as I cross that border no MOH'S. Imho all the ban does is make people that own them to hide them away rather than display them even up here people (myself included) dont like to show them off as it leads to (in my experiance) "intense negativity". Also as a side note this looks like a real case at the very least and well worth several bids

I am pretty sure this is a replica. Decent quality replicas appear on German Ebay quite often. They also show up on Great Britian and Spain Ebay frequently. I believe that many of these are manufactured in Spain.

There are also some replicas that show up on Hongkong and Australia Ebay that are made in China. The difference in quality is very apparent. Australia also has some good quality replicas. Occasionally, a Lordship

Industries real but never issued MOH will show up on an Australian or Canadian dealers website. I'm sure there are other places where these appear.

To me, that looks like a current GRACO-made MoH, well, except for the cheesy enamel lapel pin. The case liner is correct too...notice how the upper portion edges are recessed to allow the cravat to fit between the pad and the case???

I read the description and it also has the correct "The Congress to" on the suspension bar. My German is rusty, but " Das Stück "könnte" vom ehemaligen Ordenshersteller stammen (mit Vorbehalt) Auf dem Karton steht der Hersteller mit" reads to me that "This "could" have come from a previous maker, and their name is on the box" and I interpret the "could" as a "wink-wink-nudge-nudge"...

Maybe it IS a real, unawarded one???? The quality looks to be pretty high even for a copy.

Do you think it is a real medal or some copy? I´m suprised of price. On Ebay there is a lot of them from abroad. / China/

These copies are pretty poor...look at the cravat and it's pad, plus the detailing on the medal itself...someone is throwing away good money....

These are cheap repros as the description says. However, although the pictures of the one that started this thread are poor to say the least it has promise IMO.

I would agree.I thought the originals, at least the older ones, were maker marked at the bottom point? I think the Army style is the only one with 'THE CONGRESS TO' on the back.

After looking at the listing and pictures above I don't think the quality is the best.Maybe its the angle or lighting but the word VALOR is hard to make out.I would really like to see a picture of the whole back of the medal. At this moment the bid is up to 401euros($536).

@Marksman die Qualität der Bilder ist schlecht, auf den Bildern kann man nicht sagen Original oder Kopie?!

(@Marksman the quality of the pictures is bad, in the pictures one cannot say original or copy?!)

All copies CMoH offered from German salesclerks are produced in Germany.

So is it just me or is Germany making a lot of these medals? Some don't even look good and that lapel pin doesn't even come close to the rosette.Seems to be a lot of these from German sellers.

Yes, i personally think its low living to collect or buy the MOH.I am a avid collector and have a large collection of medals. but i woyld never get a MOH.

What im puzzled with is that it says the SVA was repealled in 2012.. only the free speech part was though (or at least that's all i can find). So could i buy a medal of honor off ebay since it is repealled? I would hope not. Somebody enlighten me. Thanks

welcome to the forum and no you can not buy the MOH in the united from anybody the moh has its own law that keeps it from being bought and sold in the united states The reason they are on foreign ebays is because in all other countrys the moh is available for sale you will see many in canada and british collection. The shame is foriegners can own them but relatives and collectors who are try to honor the veteran can not but foriegners can theirs some food for thought it is so bad if you have one in the us you are not even allowed to give it to a museum !!

Yes I completely agree! It's obsurd! I could see close relatives having a replica..but not some person who has no connection to them. Our country needs some serious reform! Thanks for the reply! God Bess

Must one American his around the veterans to honor?

They can do veterans also differently honour.

If you are ready 1000.-$ for honour and Medal for payment, why donations them then not 1000.-$ here: http://s431547445.on...s/?page_id=2142

With it is helped the veterans more.

They also get a nice letter for your collection...
