This is an old thread, but I love these. Here's an assortment of my PhM and HM crows from 1913 through late 1940s.

Left corner is pre-1914, next are, stacked, likely 1920s-30s, The two pair of "Wosk" WWIIs, a nice bullion 1st class, a nice bullion CPO, a black Geneva Convention cross, a couple of Gray CPOs, one bullion, an "Open cross" on white, a WAVES 1st class on seersucker, a late-1940s "transition" 2nd class and a nice bullion 1950s-60s HM CPO.

Anyone know the maker of these rating badges?

Good question. I've never seen Lion Bros. on one of these.

An amazing collection—thank you for sharing. If I may, I have a few examples to compliment your collection.

I’ve always found the amount of variations in Navy insignia amazing.

Wonderful items to behold.  Dan, that transitional 2nd class at the bottom of your display is a new one to me.  Amazing displays!  Thank you all for sharing,

jweitkamp,

So, these are just "some" of your collection!  What a wonderful collection!  The later khaki and gray; complete sets.  The many pairs, right and left arms.  So amazing.  Thanks for sharing.

If I might ask a couple questions; Am I correct that these are Australian bevo weave construction?  What time period were these used?  Thank you,

Sorry, post #26 was supposed to be sent to the attention of jweitkamp.  But please, anyone of course is free to provide input.  Thanks to all,

Yes , those are all Aussie made, late 42 into 43, I believe. I also believe they were made by J&J Cash; the same firm that made the first 1mardiv patches. I also have a green bevo 2nd Class pair that I can’t locate for the moment.
