busternfo Posted February 18, 2017 Share #26 Posted February 18, 2017 Anyone know the maker of these rating badges?
dpcsdan Posted August 10, 2023 Share #27 Posted August 10, 2023 This is an old thread, but I love these. Here's an assortment of my PhM and HM crows from 1913 through late 1940s. Left corner is pre-1914, next are, stacked, likely 1920s-30s, The two pair of "Wosk" WWIIs, a nice bullion 1st class, a nice bullion CPO, a black Geneva Convention cross, a couple of Gray CPOs, one bullion, an "Open cross" on white, a WAVES 1st class on seersucker, a late-1940s "transition" 2nd class and a nice bullion 1950s-60s HM CPO. busternfo Posted January 31 Share #35 Posted January 31 If I might ask a couple questions; Am I correct that these are Australian bevo weave construction? What time period were these used? Thank you, Dennie
busternfo Posted January 31 Share #36 Posted January 31 Sorry, post #26 was supposed to be sent to the attention of jweitkamp. But please, anyone of course is free to provide input. Thanks to all, Dennie
jweitkamp Posted February 1 Share #37 Posted February 1 Yes , those are all Aussie made, late 42 into 43, I believe. I also believe they were made by J&J Cash; the same firm that made the first 1mardiv patches. I also have a green bevo 2nd Class pair that I can’t locate for the moment.
