My war in the pacific display.

Love it, I am looking at using thos display stands but wasnt sure of the dimensions with patches on them...they look really good ! You have some very nice items on show. Does the DI hat have a vent hole at the back...3 or 4 vents and is it dated ?

Cheers

That's near exactly what my Iwo display is going to look like with both sides covered.

That 4th Marine Division blues look nice!

I collect items from The Battle of Iwo Jima (1945).

Top Iwo Jima Items I'm Looking For:

1) IDed 5th MarDiv Corpsman Jumper or Forest Green Coat.

2) IDed Coast Guard Navy Jumper

3) IDed CB's Sea Bee's Navy Jumper

4) IDed 147th Infantry Regiment Army Service Coat

5) IDed 32nd ID Army Service Coat (Occupation Kyushu with 5th MarDiv).

I am always looking for named and dated WWII USMC Forest Green wool alpha jackets/coats from the 5th Marine Division or other units who participated in the battle.

Fantastic looking display with a very interesting mix of items. You’ve put the display together really well and it doesn’t look ‘overloaded’ but very consistent with real focus!

Great job and thanks for posting,

I posted information on compressing photos that are too large to post earlier today. I think it should help.

Thanks Mike. I did this to attach the photos and only 3 worked. I added a topic called test and it worked so I tried my pacific collection and only 3 posted. I am new to posting so I will get the hang of it one day.

Great display mate, as a collector of Pacific theater items I can appreciate all the hard work that goes into find first class objects.

Looking for any item's in regard to the US Army, Air Corps and Marines stationed or based in Australia during WW2. Especially items attributed to soldiers of the 41st and 43rd Division and airmen of the 5th Army Air Corps and their subsequent forays into Papua New Guinea.
