sgtpete Posted February 3, 2013 Share #1 Posted February 3, 2013 Can anyone make a ID on the battleship behind the bow of the Pennsylvania? I think it looks like the New York, but I'm not sure. It was taken between 1927 and 1929, possibly in the Caribbean.
72psb Posted February 4, 2013 Share #2 Posted February 4, 2013 Might be the West Virginia?
ASL Posted February 25, 2013 Share #3 Posted February 25, 2013 The positioning of the secondary 5" armament, broadside and as far forward as the forward-most main turret would seem to agree with it being New York class. I haven't seen that in any of the other BB classes after a cursory review of WWI-era BBs. Of course I could have missed something.
