Chap15 Posted February 3, 2013 Share #1 Posted February 3, 2013 Today was Four Chaplains Sunday. Seventy Years ago today, four chaplains gave their life jackets to four men when their troop ship was struck by a German torpedo in the Atlantic Ocean. I displayed a WWII Chaplain’s kit from a Chaplain who... survived the battle of Okinawa. He was a WWI Infantry Soldier who promised God if he survived the war he would become a minister. He kept his promise only to find himself in another war. God calls us to love him and to love one another, even when it hurts.
pchepurko Posted February 3, 2013 Share #2 Posted February 3, 2013 These 4 men should never be forgotten. A man from my hometown was on the Dorchester.
