hawk3370 Posted February 1, 2013 Share #1 Posted February 1, 2013 I posted this several years ago in another section on the forum before this particular forum was created. So for the newer guys on the forum that might have an interest in these flight helmets I thought I would bring it up again. I wore this while flying with the 240th Assault Helicopter Company (Greyhounds and Maddogs) out of Bearcat, RVN in 1968-1969. Flew over 800 combat hours that year in the UH-1C gunship. Sabrejet Posted February 1, 2013 Share #2 Posted February 1, 2013 Ah yes...I remember it well! Another "killer" helmet Terry (both literally and metaphorically!) "We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender!" Winston Churchill " Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans." John Winston Lennon

Terry A couple pic related to this posting. The other side of my helmet bag with the 240th and 1st Aviation Brigade patches. My UH-1C at Bearcat 1968 and our crew chiefs and gunners in front of the "Maddog" armament shed. Our platoon motto was "VC for lunch bunch" and I must admit we had a lot of lunches. This was the finest bunch of young men in the world and saved my butt on many occasions during missions in Cambodia and the Delta.
