mvmhm Posted January 29, 2013 Share #1 Posted January 29, 2013 I'm working with the historic site manager of the Ohio statehouse on a Vietnam War commemoration in late March, so I went there today to see the cases I'll have available, floor space, etc. They have some items on display, like Ron Rosser's Medal of Honor, some GAR materials etc. One of the newer ones (for me at least) is a display if General Grant's artifacts. This shows the display case, along with a close up of his coat. Mark sends
mvmhm Posted January 29, 2013 Author Share #2 Posted January 29, 2013 The other side has some personal possessions, autograph, and his Generals insignia. They also have a chair that he transported with him during the Civil War. After the war was over, he gave it to a close friend.

Garandomatic Posted January 30, 2013 Share #4 Posted January 30, 2013 I was behind Rosser in traffic. Let me tell you, there's a guy that knows how to go fast. Was on my way back to work, by the time I was clear of a couple cars in front of me, he was out of sight. Got to speak to him at the local Veterans' Day Parade, heck of a guy.
