wagner Posted January 26, 2013 Share #1 Posted January 26, 2013 Hi Guys, This came from a estate of a B-29 pilot who flew missions over Japan in summer of 45. The kit is well made and the back flap is designed to attach over a web belt. Any help on what it really is and value would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance. wagner Posted January 26, 2013 Author Share #9 Posted January 26, 2013 The paint on the Red Cross emblem is thick and heavy duty. Really neat.

northcoastaero Posted January 26, 2013 Share #11 Posted January 26, 2013 I believe this kit snaps to the inside of the aircraft. I have seen later ones made from olive drab vinyl and then olive drab nylon.
Survival Posted January 27, 2013 Share #12 Posted January 27, 2013 That looks like a post WW2 kit to me. Sometimes the color is a little off in the photos but if that is a green heavy waterproof canvas I figure 1950s. The medium dressings are post 1947. The other 3 are WW2 era. Its a long ways from complete as far as contents. They flew B29s through the Korean war so could be from one of those.....
wagner Posted January 28, 2013 Author Share #13 Posted January 28, 2013 Korea, Makes sense as I was told he flew during that period also. Thanks 'Survival' and 'northcoastaero'.
Bebel Posted January 29, 2013 Share #14 Posted January 29, 2013 In Indochina war, french pilots were using this kit attaching it to their leather or web belt. Franck
