Here is another one.

 

He was the highest ranking Marine Corps officer captured during the Korean War.

 

he was also the first USMC night fighter squadron commander during World War II.

Here is a pair to a former enlisted NAP who became an officer during the war.

 

During the early part of the war, he flew with Torpedo Squadron Eight, but missed Midway.
