seanmc1114 Posted March 4, 2015 Share #130 Posted March 4, 2015 Since the images on the following site are copyrighted, I am posting a link rather than the image iself. However, there are some fantastic color photographs on this site taken of the 3rd Infantry Division in Korea including this one showing a soldier wearing the Infantry Blue bib in 1953. http://www.ophsa.org/Korea/Enlarged_065.htm The caption of the photo reads: “Note the (Infantry) blue scarf. It had just recently been authorized as a legitimate part of a uniform. The occasion for the dress-up was Warrant Officer Mincey receiving an award.” Also check out these pictures showing a young Lt. wearing a second award of the Combat Infantryman Badge. http://www.ophsa.org/Korea/Enlarged_066.htm http://www.ophsa.org/Korea/Enlarged_054.htm
seanmc1114 Posted March 4, 2015 Share #131 Posted March 4, 2015 I'm not sure what color this bib is. Definitely not Infantry Blue but he does have a Combat Infantryman Badge. Also not the wear of the khaki service cap with the olive green uniform as well as the lighter colored shoulder chord and odd belt.
