Since the images on the following site are copyrighted, I am posting a link rather than the image iself. However, there are some fantastic color photographs on this site taken of the 3rd Infantry Division in Korea including this one showing a soldier wearing the Infantry Blue bib in 1953.

http://www.ophsa.org/Korea/Enlarged_065.htm

The caption of the photo reads: “Note the (Infantry) blue scarf. It had just recently been authorized as a legitimate part of a uniform. The occasion for the dress-up was Warrant Officer Mincey receiving an award.”

Also check out these pictures showing a young Lt. wearing a second award of the Combat Infantryman Badge.

I'm not sure what color this bib is. Definitely not Infantry Blue but he does have a Combat Infantryman Badge. Also not the wear of the khaki service cap with the olive green uniform as well as the lighter colored shoulder chord and odd belt.

And the current use of the Branch Scarf, didn't think this fashion was still affected within the Army

Due to the color, probably Arty, too bad we can't make out the DI on the front of them (any guesses, a South Korea based unit right?)

Officer of the 3rd Armored Division wearing the yellow bib and Cavalry branch insignia. Is that a 12th Cavalry DUI he is wearing?

Yep, 3rd Armored Div had the 3rd Squadron 12th Cavalry as it's Recon element from 1957 on.

Another Engineer OCS scarf sighting, here we see the cloth DI up close, photo from the March 1970 issue of Army Digest, so this makes photo going back a ways, sometime in 1969 or even sometime in 1968.

Student of the Fort Benning NCO Candidate Course wearing the Infantry blue bib with his OG-107 uniform. My father went through this course, and this uniform combination, including the helmet liner, was what they wore for their offiicial class yearbook photos.

A superb photo of the Officer Corps of the 2nd Battalion 72nd Armor, 2nd Infantry Division 1967, here we see the Yellow of Armor, the Maroon of the Medical Corps, either Brick Red or Crimson for either the Transportation Corps or Ordnance? and Black for the Chaplain. Plus the added view of the blank Armor Triangle over their U.S. ARMY tapes.

Drill instructors from a Women's Army Corps training unit at Fort McClellan, Alabama wearing what is presumably old gold bibs, WAC colors being old gold and mosstone green. Notice that in the second photo, the bibs worn by the male and female sergeants are distinctly different shades.

I worn a similar camo one as a Drill Sergeant at Ft. Knox in 1967-1968. Later in an Infantry unit we wore the light blue Infantry scarf for some ceremonies as required by the Uniform of the Day.

Nice Olan Mills studio portrait of an NCO wearing the armored yellow bib. Probably pre-1981 due to lack of an Army Service Ribbon.a\
